Your First Visit: What to Expect

If you're searching for a church, we know it can be difficult. One of the biggest reasons is not knowing what the worship service will be like, so we want to tell you something of our style of worship. We hope that you are encouraged by our reverence for God, the close bond of sinners saved by Christ, and our diversity of backgrounds.

Pre-service Prayer

During the fifteen minutes before morning and evening worship, a number of us gather in the Pastor's office to pray for the work of God during the service. Our church and denomination are convinced that prayer is central to any expectation of the moving of God in our church and communities.

Order of Service

After announcements the service begins with a scripture reading. Our opening hymn and following hymns give us time to sing out what we hope is in our hearts and on our minds. The preaching of the Word follows. We celebrate the Lord's Table monthly at the close of either the evening or morning service.

As our hymnal states, "it is our belief that the strongest hymns are those which are most saturated with the word of God." We sing from the Hymns of Grace and Glory, which is full of excellent words and music with which we worship God.

Getting a glimpse of a typical sermon is one of the easiest things to do thanks to Sermon Audio. Take a moment to listen to the most recent sermons in our resources section.

Our church provides nursery and toddler care during morning worship. We have a cry room for nursing mothers. Parents can bring young children to the board room for a live broadcast of the service.
